Royal Strelitzia, Strelitzia Reginae.

The plant comes from the southern regions of Africa. The unusual shape of the flower made it a bird of paradise. The flowers gradually emerge from the canoe-shaped inflorescence and secrete the nectar abundantly, which attracts the birds. Under natural conditions, inflorescence shoots grow up to 2 m in height, and banana-like strelitzia leaves are not much lower. The flowers form plume orange inflorescences. Royal Strelitzia is a hardy plant that can be successfully grown in an apartment or in a winter garden. In summer, the plant can be taken out onto a balcony, terrace or garden.

Place of cultivation: the plant needs a lot of light, also in winter.

Watering: The strelitzia should be watered abundantly in spring and summer, but should not be allowed to remain in the water. In winter, reduce watering.
