Epiphyllum Chrysocardium, Phyllocactus

Epiphyllum Chrysocardium, Phyllocactus.

It comes from the tropical jungles of Mexico, Peru and Bolivia and is an epiphyte. This means that it uses larger trees as supports, but does not parasitize them. It has flattened or triangular shoots resembling the leaves. The epiphyllum is decorated with beautiful large white flowers. It usually blooms in the summer.

Growing place: needs a place with a lot of diffused light, also tolerates semi-shaded places.

Watering: in summer it requires abundant watering, in winter the dose of water should be limited.
